Our Teachers

Lora Dierker - 3's am/pm

Teacher Linda Lora earned a BA in International Studies from the University of Oregon in 1986 and received a teaching credential, with a Spanish bilingual emphasis, from San Francisco State University in 1993. She has taught grades kindergarten through second. Lora has also been a reading resource teacher and a bilingual resource teacher. When Lora's youngest son was born, she left the elementary classroom and focused her energies on her own two boys. Both of her sons attended cooperative preschools in Portland and she loved the parent cooperative preschool community so much that she didn't want to leave when her boys moved on to elementary school. Lora began teaching at Cedar Hills Co-op in the fall of 2004 and can honestly say that it is the best teaching job she's ever had! When Lora is not teaching or volunteering at her children's school, she tries to find time to read, do yoga, garden, practice her banjo, hike and camp.

Linda Romanowski - 4's am/pm

Teacher Linda Linda Romanowski began teaching at Cedar Hills Co-op in 2002. Linda spent her first two years at the Co-op as the three''s teacher and has been teaching the fours class ever since. Linda graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education from Purdue University in Indiana and a Masters of Education in Reading from University of Arizona. Linda currently holds an Oregon Teaching License. Prior to moving to Oregon, Linda taught elementary school in Arizona, New York and Florida. She continues to take classes at Portland State University, Portland Community College and attends a variety of workshops.

Both of Linda's sons attended Cedar Hills Co-op before she began teaching in the preschool. Linda believes the cooperative philosophy builds a strong foundation for life long learners and provides a nurturing space for children and parents to grow.

When she is not at work Linda enjoys backpacking with her family, hiking, reading, gardening and jogging.
